Losing the plot ?

I have been driving my 964 C4 (LHD)for a year or so. Its in great nick, looks amazing and is mechanically very well sorted (ex project car for Porsche and 911 world, Phil Raby's green one)and I love it. However my head has been turned recently by the 964 Turbos which seem to be calling to me from every add. I reckon if I part ex my 964 plus my RHD 968 cab I could just about pick one up. But is it really worth it, will I enjoy it much more than my C4 ?

I guess my question is, using Henrys analogy, should I give up the tall girl from Doncaster and the short Girl from Bedford for the big chested blonde from Sweden ?

Or am I just losing the plot

How about loosing the topless one for a supercharger rebuild to the C4 with a brakeupgrade and the works?
Tons of good kits and stuff to be had!
Besides, I think for everyday driving, it would make much more sence with a good low/mid range Than a wild top end!

Drive your 964 to a test drive of a turbo. When you get out of the turbo after the test drive, you'll know which car you'd rather go home in...

Or the ninemeister kit would also be very good! a bit lower on the lowrev tourque but
otherwise very cool! The ninekit would also give a more revy feel.

Not sure I go for the kinky stuff Spool. I have only gone for natural up to now. Although I did see a very head turning Brummy girl at Shirleys.

Kinky it is. How about this. Make sure you do try a supercharged and a turbocharged
before you do make you decision. I'm sure ninemeiseter has a demo car or something.
Superchargers are like you have installed a 4-5 liter in the back.
Its kinky indeed, kinky in your neck...

Would definitely suggest giving either a good run before changing. I have a 993 C4S which had a supercharger. It did everything it said it was going to do - much more torque low down and but somehow changed the character of the engine such that it felt less revvy and responsive. If you want really smooth and torquey great but ultimately I much prefer the engine without the charger.

But most others who have them love tem - I was inundated with people wanting to buy mine, and at least it gave me the pleasure of making the acquaintance of Colin at 9m even if it was only by email. He was a very helpful chap, particularly when you consider I was seeking advice on undoing all his painstaking work!
