I hope someone can help me with the above. It has for sometime now not worked resulting in very misty windows when it's raining.

Before I spend a not inconsiderable sum of money buying a new motor I was wondering what else I need to check, and how. I have already tested the feed to the fan at a point closest to the unit and it seems to happily output 0-12 volts according to adjustment of the knob in the car (ooh-er). I have also already replaced the original fan with one from a scrappy and I have made sure that there is a good connection between where I measured the voltage and the fan itself.

Do I need to measure the current or resistance as well, to be totally sure it's not down to a poor connection or earthing. Or is there something else I can try?

Thanks in advance,

Steve.

Steve
We had loads of heater motors stop working on various vans, it is usually the brushes seizing in their carriers due to moist air going past them all day, pulling them out, cleaning and WD usually does it.HTH
