Does anybody know where there is a rolling road able to help set up the intake on a 500+hp carburetted car? preferably close to Glasgow.

Can't vouch for them personally, but AVA Turbos in Renfrew might be your closest one. Was impressed with Star Performance when I visited them for a rolling road day once before, but they're based in Glenrothes.

Probably no help at all, but back in the 70;s my uncle was stationed in Stirling at an Army base and they had one, just wondered if its still an Army base or now a civvy place, just a thought

If you've no luck in the Glasgow area, there's Dastek in Dalgety Bay, Fife. I know they've had 500BHP carburettor'd cars (like Dave Fiddes' Ultima....and we won't talk about my Tuscan there ).

you're not going to believe this, but perhaps if you try www.dastek.co.uk you might find something?

Bit of a toughie to work out I know, but dastek.co.uk is indeed Dastek's web site.....

edited, as I just noticed on the 'about' page www.dastek.co.uk/about.htm there's a pic of an Ultima on the rollers...which I have to guess is Dave Fiddes's car when he/we were there with the Lotus folks. I wonder if he knows they've got a pic of his car with the plate photoshopped? Fame at last eh?

Heh Heh. I saw that a while ago. Was going to use it to see if I could get a cut price deal on tuning my EFI setup... Have to make sure that it doesn't go to my head!

Funnily enough, before I asked that question, I did a Google search on Dastek and got loads of rolling roads as far south as Cornwall, but nothing in Fife. Hence the question.

I've had my car on the rollers at Dastek and they were top notch.

Dastek in Fife (again). Been there a couple of times myself, and we're using them to record some vehicles soon too.

Yes, there is Daskek.

Don't know of a Dyno Dynamics in Scotland yet, although one is in the pipeline.
