Went on a LoT day at Silverstone today, full GP circuit!!
After another shakey start in the rain, I ended up really learning to control the car in the wet. Understeer no longer makes me do a plop in my y-fronts, and I have started to master throttle control oversteer and a bit of left foot braking to correct understeer etc.

Now I need to see if I can do it in the dry at higher speeds.

The photo dude was out in the rain all day and he got some decent shots, (much better than the rickingham lot!) so I thought I would be kind and buy them off him.

What do you think?

Tried that but I couldn't sort the green cast over the car.

Thought just the tail lights looked pretty moody.

Thanks for the thought!

Nailed him just after the bend...............what the hell did you think Ash!?

Actually, it was pretty hard to pass out of corners as I found a few times, even the lightest of throttle presses with the wheels not dead straight had the rear along side you in a flash, great fun but not easy to pass slower cars.

Rather annoyingly, lots of cars, like the one in front in that pic, would be really slow in the corners and brake really hard and early, causing me to lock up a few times and swerve, but then they would floor it after the bends making it impossible to pass them, as the wheeles just span even in 4th if you gave it any turbo push.

Still, it was a fun day out.

Yup, there were 4 or 5 full on race cars out. and a touring car practicing, which I followed and nailed think I was a master until I realised he was on a cool down lap that was almost as fast as my hot laps.

Some great shots, Greg! Was booked for Donny tomorrow, but jet-lag, rain and 425bhp probably not a good combo..

It is tempting, I have to say. But I suspect good sense will prevail (how boring is that?)
