Distributor base plate and pick-up

Bit of a long shot.

About 6 weeks ago, someone with a Wedge-sounding name bought a new Lucas V8 distributor base plate with electromagentic pick-up off ebay. It was for the 35DLM8 distributor as fitted to 'hotwire' 14CUX cars ie Griffs and Chims.

I'm kinda hoping this isn't the right part for the Wedge engine, that the bidder is a PHer, reads this, and might want to sell.

Any takers?

Me? I just bought a new pickup for my 35DLM8, it was from an Ebay seller but I went via his website.
It works fine so sorry, won't be parting

May have been! Can you give me seller details please? Maybe he has more than one.

By the way what symtpoms led you to replace the pick-up?

These come up on eBay fairly often, there are a couple on there now. That's where I got my spare from, too.

I always bookmark this stuff, gives me the seller details for 6 months afterwards.

I can't find them! Tried pickup, pick-up, base plate, all in combination with V8, lucas, rover etc...can you point me in the right direction please?

You will need to check which (if any) of these are right for you. If you want to buy the pickup on its own then you need to do a different search - I don't notice these very often though.

Ah - that's the confusion then! I'm only after the base plate / pick-up. Thanks GV8S for your footwork anyway!
