Been listening to Vic Reeves occasionally in the car over recent weeks on his weekday evening show, and while I can put up with his awful stilted style and completely unfunny 'jokes' before he gets back to the music, I had come to the conclusion that he is the worst DJ ever, particularly when he has to talk to a member of the public phoning in for a request; so painful its not true. He really shouldn't have been let anywhere near a mic.

What are other peoples candidates for this?

Me?

I had a radio show on York university radio station (URY) for a year. As it was non-commercial, I dedicated it to songs you wouldn't hear anywhere else.

Became cult listening in Durham, bizzarely.

Havnt heard Vic Reeves, but Virgin are doing some big jokes competition at the moment and they are all totally unfunny and get read out all day. Could that part just not be this?

Unfortunately for him, no. The listeners jokes can be pretty bad, but his attempts at humour are just dire. And to think, I used to like his big night out...

I agree, I miss their show but their respective individual shows BBC R2 and 6 are also very good.

Chris Moyles gets my vote but if you want to delve into the realms of local radio anyone in Merseyside on a weekday morning should not listen to Kev Seed on Radio City, he makes my blood boil.

i am not saying she'd the worst but:
I am going to be contraversial here (!) but i don't like Jo Whiley. she really knows her stuff and she does support new acts etc etc etc but i'd rather the producer had those skills and the dj be more entertaining! also the games are hopeless. if it's not news/current affairs i like djs to be amusing or at least entertaining. I quite like vernon kay for that reason cos 'he's good to decorate too'..!

Indeed, the man has all the charm and charisma of a toilet on a Cross Channel ferry after a particularly rough passage and the wit of a retarded traffic warden
