Why cant i sell my car?

Any ideas?
I have put it in Auto Trader but all i got were sales calls from supposed agencies. Put it on ebay, lots of watchers no bids.
Good car, low mileage, great condition, FSH blah blah blah
But no-one has come to look at it and no intertest at all.
Can anyone shed some light or give me some ideas? Thanks!

The biggest reason your car will not sell is simply the weather. If you had a 4x4 and it was snowing it would sell like hot cakes. Likewise if it was the start of summer and the sun was cracking the flags your car would sell. Its a known thing in the car trade, sport: summer, 4x4 winter. This may not help you but I am sure its not down to your car.

im gonna end up trading it in for stupid money if i cant sell it.

I thought the old summer/winter rule would be fair enough for most regular soft tops but not a TVR. If you want one it wouldnt matter about the weather.....maybe im wrong!
Need to sell it as im up the duff and husband has tuffed my tvr out of the garage in favour of his race car......

I think it is a combination of things not any one, the time of year is one factor but cars still sold in previous seasons but just for slightly less money.
These cars are getting old now, there are a lot rough ones about, that has lowered average prices.
The cost of fuel seems to have hit home and people are thinking twice about buying big engines.
Not everyone can afford to run expensive toys and those that can will probably buy newer.
Insurance costs are now disproportional to the value of the car, paying £1k pa on a £20k car is one thing but on a £8k car?
Would not be surprised is the S6 issue has filtered it's way down the TVR range. A mate of mine that used to underwite TVRs won't touch them anymore - too risky.

lemmonie, I hate to say it because I own one too and I hate what is happening to the price of these cars. It's too expensive by a grand or more. There are 2000 & 2001 cars at a grand more than yours and they aren't moving either. Also, if you still have the original wheels it would be worth saying so because black wheels aren't to everyone's taste.
Bit of a downer to have to reduce the price but that's one way to move it. I've decided to stay with mine for the long haul, that way I get to enjoy what depreciation has already cost me.

When I look at your profile I'm getting a little red cross where the picture of your car should be. Also there's no history etc - might it be helpful to fill in as much as you can to attract attention? I'm sure it's a tough sell at this time of the year when the heaven's have opened. I guess you have to just give it your best shot. It only takes one person to be a buyer - is it in the latest copy of Sprint? Hope you get a buyer and a fair price soon
I don't mean to be rude, but the brutal answer is, because it's too expensive. I don't know which is your car, so I don't know how much you're asking, or what the car is like - but the reason anything doesn't sell is price. Would someone give you £5 for it? Would someone give you £50,000 for it? Well, it's probably worth something in between then...
Problem is you know the car, so it's worth more to you than anyone. Personally I wouldn't sell mine for anything under £20k. But who in their right mind will give that for pre-cat Griff?!
Good luck - but you'll only get what you want if you can afford to take your time and wait for the right buyer. The only sure-fire way to sell and get 'true market value' is ebay with no reserve.

The counter argument can be true. If it's too cheap people are suspicious.
Well, maybe. I really didn't mean to cause offence, just stating Griffter's 1st law of economics. The 2nd is that more will people will under-pay to snap up a bargain, than over-pay to be sure of good quality.
