A friend has reformatted, the drivers for Graphics Card etc are fine, but audio drivers for sound card missing.. He has no CDs..

Is there any way to tell what Sound Card he has without opening the comp up?
I'm sure I've done the same thing before but with a Graphics Card!! Any software able to do this?

If its a well known brand PC, then Googling for the PC's model number might well turn something up.

Probably easiest to just whip the case off and take a look though.

Google for a copy of aida32. The original dewveloper has stopped pushing it now, but that'll tell you if you can find a copy. If you can't find it, e-mail me on Monday, I've got it at work.

Being a complete PC deadhead I did not have a clue such a thing existed

Thanks Used Aida

Found out its Sis 7012 Driver we are after...
Download a few but they won't install...

Any ideas?

It's getting quite frustrating.. only option is to get another PCI soundcard (current one integrated in mobo) unless someone comes up with a fix..

Dave.
