Hi all, I sold my wedge a couple of months back and am now just starting to look for its replacement. I'm looking for a nice V8s as I've driven a couple previously and know them to be great cars. Right first off currently I only have a budget of 8k though this will increase with time.

Must have's are a full history, chassis in good condition preferably coated, no deep scratches on bodywork and a good condition engine (pre cat) that pulls well with no missing in the rev range. Mileage wise I'm not too bothered so long as the car has a full history with regular oil changes, prefer about 70k or less tho. Colour wise the only colours i dont want are white or bright red, will consider anything else including dark reds.

Over to you then...what have you got? i have the cash handy for a quick sale although i'm not about to rush into buying the first one i see.

Cheers everyone...

I've sent an e mail enquiring whether its still for sale, not heard anything back as yet.... That one would be almost exactly what I'm looking for

Hey

I've actually ended up going down a different route, the V8s is still for sale and looks like a lovely car, very very tempted to have it. Unfortunatly I was offered a near mint Nissan Skyline GTR for under 8k (tuned to 400bhp). A skyline has been a dream car for years and after driving this one had to go for it

I will be returning to the TVR fold but not for a little while, tho a V8s will still be top of list when i do return

Not a V8S by a long chalk but a very capable and nice car to boot.

Other than the ones currently in the for sale ads is anyone else selling??

I was very interested in this one previously

http://pistonheads.com/sales/51351.ht

I cant find the member who was selling it though and i think from memory it did'nt sell although i could be wrong... Does anyone know the owner??

Budget is a max £9k tho hoping to spend around the £8.5k mark

Seconded! As an ex-V8S owner, I simply cannot believe no-one has yet snapped this up! It's a bloody bargain!

Yeh i know there are ways round it, have done so with previous cars. Just dont want the hassle come MOT time of swapping parts around etc. I was really looking for a car with a fairly std engine spec. Coming from a modded skyline i now want something that can return better fuel consumption. It will be a daily driver so a more highly modded car may not be whats best for me at the moment.

I may still consider it though, any idea what the mileage is on it ?

Far as I know has 100K on the clock but a full rebuild to a very high spec less than 12K ago. It's been serviced (Feb) and very well-looked after. I wouldn't be put off by the mileage. It's not exactly high, and just proves the car has been driven - like it should be, like it needs to be.

The guy's a true enthusiast - there won't be any unknown's on the car. If I was in the market for one, I'd deffo be looking at it.

I cant undertand it either, Harrys car is superb, as Pies says its no show car, but thats cosmetic and easily rectified just look at mine, Harrys is still one of the fastest 4ltr cars out there and a snip at that price. Buy it you will not be disappointed!

IMHO
