2004 model CV8 was 333 and had twin side exit exhaust and various styling diff to 2005. 2005 CV8 has one side exit exhaust each side. and bonnet nostrils

Interior difference is the 2005 has a twin instrument pod on the dash centre, the 04 doesn't.
The 05 also has black plastic trim around the centre console stuff as opposed to the much nicer silver carbon effect stripping of the 04.

Only if it's had upgrades or is a VXR (which I think is more than 354)

i was told by my dealer my car was 380 version of cv8 coz it had been misregistered for emissions with dvla - eventually took guy in charge of monaro project for vauxhall to sort out it was only the 329 version. for a while it looked like i was getting a standard edition with the vxr engine - boy was i disappointed to lose those 50 horses :-)iirc the new 05 models are 354 standard though what vauxhall did to them i'm not sure. one advantage 04 has is a much bigger boot due to the americans not having had a chance to screw with petrol tank config.

and with about £1200 to £1300 you can get the 04 CV8 to 380bhp and get the best of both worlds. Fan ---- bl**dy --- tastic

So buy an 04 cheaper, bigger boot, (they also did them in Blue - the fastest colour)
and spend the difference on some upgrades

Am i right in think that the 5.7 VXR engine and the 5.7 CV8 engine arent actually any different in themselves? its just the map, exhaust & breathing isnt it?( i.e ancileries) Thats why its quite easy to get the CV8 upto VXR power....

well... that was my thought anyway??

How many Impulse Blue CV8's are there? As they stopped them in this colour, are we the priveleged few to have the most stunning looking Monaro?
