lights in driver's and passenger's footwells

I would like to fit some lights to illuminate the footwells, wired up to the courtesy light in the targa hood, so they have the same time delay. I have done searches ("footwell lights" "Lights in the footwell", and "footwell" and lights", but haven't found anything. Has anyone done this?

If not, any suggestions how to do this? Sounds like a job for MOD-WISE! David Beer, over to you!

Get some 15w interior lamp fittings and wire them to the positive feed to the existing targa lamp. Find an earth and hay presto. Probably too simple for modwise to bother with.

Much better to use LEDs, no need for mounting etc. About 6mm square and more than enough for the footwell, i use them for the interior light, maybe not suitable for all interiors but my black leather and ally dash, looks great.

Sorry, too complicated!! More info needed...
a)Where is the positive feed?
b) Where would you make the join?
c)the pair of 15w fittings - would they be wired separately, or in series?
d) would you need to change any fuses - if you have an additional 30w current draw, I would have thought so

Yup - I want to be able to see all the Koi I have swimming about down there right now.

Actually, I just think it looks quite classy, and since I am considering a re-trim after I get my leaks sorted, should complement the new carpets and (maybe) Leven heel plate.

Probably simpler to just connect both +ve & -ve feeds to the targa.

Probably somewhere in the passenger side door solenoid hatch.

Carry the +ve & -ve to both. Link to the nearest then link from that one to the next

No. The fuse will supply several circuits so will be big enough.

Does the Chimp not have a passenger footwell light allready? The Griffith has one just below the
glovebox on some models?
