UFO on ITV4

[telecat]

Yippee!! after years the whole run on TV again!

I love old series like that. I watch them for the interior design, if anything. I've really got into '60s and '70s modernism recently, partly because it's really cool, partly because if I move out and have a bare flat to furnish it's really easy to do.

Ed Bishop used to, maybe still does, live in Napton warks, I used to know his Daughter Jess. Very good series, pity its on one of these new fangled channels, don't get them here. Our tele's still got push button changers and Redefusion written on the front.

Is ITV-4 on sky I cant find it

[telecat]

It's on Freeview channel 30. I believe that SKY baulked at carrying it initially. Looks like it is picking up SCI-FI as a theme as Timecop followed UFO, Dark Skies is on Monday and Andromeda on Tuesday!

Unfortunately Ed Bishop died in June of this year at the age of 72.

Remember watching UFO as a kid in the early 70's. Used to scare me $hitless at times! Found the aliens with the green liquid in their helmets pretty creepy as a 4 year old. Had a Dinky SHADO vehicle with firing missile launcher and Moonbase interceptor with same (the orange-coloured landing gear always broke off...). Sky 1 launching off the sub was the dog's... And as for funky purple wigs....

Now all we need is:

"THHHHEE INVADERRRSSSSSsss"

Classic show, loved it.

Sorry to hear about Ed Bishop. He is also the lunar shuttle pilot in "2001: A Space Odyssey".

UFO was worth it for Gabrielle Drake in a string vest - lovely girl
