Bollocks.

I've kerbed a front wheel and razzed up the rim quite nicely.
Why don't the bleedin' tyres stick a little bit proud of the rims like on most cars.

Anyhoo...what can I do to sort it chaps?

Take it an alloy whel repair specialist, then fit bigger tyres that will offer better protection...

And avoid driving into kerbs

Funny enough did the same thing today in the pouring rain in london today. Lucky enough, no damage that I could see, wacked it pretty hard in the rear.

Kerbed my wheel on the second day I had the car (thanks to some inconsiderate t**t who was blocking the car park at Leeds station.

Phoned up the local 'Chips Away' and they repaired it at my house one Saturday morning. Cost approximately £50.00 and you can hardly tell there was ever a mark there.

Hope this might help

i recently had both my fromts done at home. There are plenty of cahps on the internet. Just do a google search.

They came out and did it at home for me. best thig was it cost £70 for both wheels and they are immaculate!

Thanks all.

Booked in at my local Chips Away chap now, via another independant recommendation.
Can't fit me in on a Saturday for a few weeks but that's ok.

Will report back with before & after pics.

If it is a VXR wheel that you have curbed, just check that they can the black chrome finish. We havent found any roadside repairers can do this. We have found one that requires the wheels off the car and takes a few days, match not too bad but not exact.

It's not really that bad at the moment, just an inch or 2 so I dont actually think its worth it....It wont be the last time it'll happen ....if i got them done every time i ding'd them, i wouldn't be able to afford to run the car.

I know this is probably dragging down the prestige of the car but I'm just gonna wait until they start to look shabby and then go for a full-on wheels off refurb..
