Misted Headlights

) when the covers are removed I have been told that the paint will be damaged, has anybody had this done on their saggy? I recently had trouble with water in my head lamps on my T350c,
So i removed the inspection panel under the wheel arch,it was Stuck like s
t to a blanket.
Then proceded to remove the head lights and indicator fittings.
After removing the fittings i noticed that the Perspex head light cover had come unstuck a bit, and it looked like it would come out easy, well it didn't!!!! and i broke it, so £50 later i have a brand new lense fitted by myself, it was way to big,requiring much fettling. And it never had the black mask line around the outside, so you have to apply that too.
So just a small bit of advice to avoid a big job, "IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT"
I also have just fitted nice smoked black tint rear side windows. They look absolutly brill (IMHO).

Ditto as valhalla but I got a dealer to do one of mine. It is pretty inevitable that they will break on removal and the replacement will need trimming down to fit and painting around the edge. I would assume it would be safer to break the perspex in the middle and prise it outwards rather then try to remove it from the edges which would be a recipe for damaging the paintwork.

Both rear lens on my saggy are misting, have been from new, although the dealer is going to fix them under warranty. They attempted to remove one at my 1000 service, but stopped due to paint chipping around the lens/mastic, and as they don't do body/paint repairs at the garage, but at a local body shop, I will have to book the car in for lens de-misting some time early December! The job apparently takes about three days, and the dealer has had to order a half litre of paint ( red glow pearl ) from the factory for "touch up " purposes. The original lens' will be re-used, so will keep you informed of the succes of this operation. I know its only a small thing(!) and some people wouldn't/havn't bothered, but I think the misting looks crap and spoils what is, in my opinion, perfection.

Both my fronts are misted, looks terrible as the nearside has at least 2" of water sloshing about in it.

Noticed from your profile that you have a sag! I thought it was only t350, griff etc. that had headlight misting, obviously not! My dealers demo saggy also had severe misting in both rear lenses, so bad that you could hardly tell when his lights were on. I'll keep a careful watch on my front lenses and make sure the body shop keeps some red glow pearl for any future use. By the way, you didn't say how you were going to fix the problem (dealer?) bearing in mind the amount of mist/water you have in your's.
