I know a few of our esteemed forum members sell prints through photobox, hoping you guys can advise me on something.

The pro photobox galleries - such as this one are very nice, and all well and good, but not really "pro" enough for my plans.

In contrast the public galleries, like this one are very slick, but don't allow you to set a markup.

I want as easy a mechanism for selling prints as possible, ideally i simply don't want to be involved, just receive the money. Whilst the pro galleries can do this they don't look good enough, so can I combine the two? Any other advice?

We use www.theimagefile.com.

Excellent service, backed up by Photobox for a very reasonable fee (~35/month for fully skinned site).

Can't recommend it enough, life is now very simple for us. We just hand out a password at an event, upload to a gellery after the event and sit back.

To see what it looks like, try www.matabooboo.com and use the password 'showcase'.

You'll need photobox print button - cost £200 to set up IIRC.

Nice to see them using simpleviewer like me!

I'm pretty sure TheImageFile use printbutton, but make it very friendly. Nice thing is instead of having to give £200 up front, it's a rolling monthly contract with them. They provide the webspace and some really easy-to-use tools for running your site.

I have no connection with them at all, but have just received outstanding service from them.

Photobox take 10% commission from Pro Galleries, which, as they already make their margin on the printing, is a bit cheeky I think, especially when you consider they're not cheap to start with. You pay for the convenience.

You can get an affiliate account with Pixaco but you can't set your own prices (that I know of). Their prices are much lower and you get a percentage. You also have to upload the images each time they are ordered.
