Computer Leasing ...

Anyone know anything about this/work in the business?

Have a need for a desktop, a laptop with docking station and screen, possibly a small server and a printer/copier.

Not quite leasing, but their prices are rediculous!!! Checkout www.thelaptop.co.uk or ring 0800 6981508. I must admit though I know very little about them. They advertise at university and that's all I know. Had a look on the website and it all looks kosher.

You could also consider Finance Leaseback, this is where you buy the equipment and then effectively sell title of it onto a Finance company such as Lombard, can work quite well as you get the benefit of the discount on the equipment in the first place.

I assume that you are looking to lease for 2/3 years otherwise you should be looking at Computer Rentals.

Remember that small companies can depreciate IT equipment at the moment 100% in the first year so are you really sure you want to lease?

Just a note about depreciation, this depends on the type of lease you take out. If its a finance lease it will be on the company balance sheet therefore you can claim depreciation.

Also note that the likes of Dell have some extremely good deals, so it might be worth purchasing...
