Sound very reasonable for a dealer car. Maybe have a look over www.adrianblyth.co.uk for comparisons.

Sounds like the front and back of two cars - and v.cheap for a dealer car - I'd HPI check it first

"Sprint" has two R-reg private sales asking £19k and £20k and a P-reg for £18750 - all relatively lower miles. Sounds like it's in the right area. Check out PetrolTed's most bodacious Prices Guides at www.pistonheads.com/ads/prices.asp?marqueId=3 , too.

Even if it is HPI clear, it doesn't mean it hasn't been "updated" after a crash, but on the other hand I don't think it matters too much either. Get someone that knows (like, really knows) body work repairs to see if it's been repaired and to what standard.

A repaired car is often as good as an original one, but you need to be sure (also it's a good haggling point)

when you say phase one back end do you just mean the fiesta tail lights or do you mean the older boot and bumper.

if its just the lights then all is correct, you can get cars with the updated front and boot with the older lights late 96 to 99 i think

Mine's a 97 P. Metallic Olive Green with grey leather and had 23k on the clock when I bought it in August. £15k from a dealer with full 1 year warranty. In very good nick too!
