Next sunday I have to take pics of a Delorean I'm writing an article about.
Chances are it's raining cats and dogs.
I want to take some really creative and nice pictures though...

Impossible? Or can I take advantage of the rain in some way?

Edited to add:
I will be using my Fuji Finepix S602 Zoom with polarisation filter

Your garden looks like a tropical rainforest...

I can imagine it could be nice to use the reflections of the water on the road.
Or take a picture of the car, driving at speed and thus creating a 'mist' behind it.

What settings of the camera are best suited for these kinds of pictures?
(I'm a newbie in photography)

Taking photos of cars on a wet track, especially if the sun comes out, is fine - as you say, reflections, spray etc. Treat it as you would any trackday. However, as my 'rainforest' shot shows, if it's actually raining to any extent frankly you're better off staying at home because the water will simply obscure the view and detract from the clarity of the picture. Plus you'll get wet and so will your highly water-sensitive box of tricks

Have fun Wim.

That's what I'm afraid of too...
And keeping the camera in one hand, and an umbrella in the other isn't really an option
Well, hopefully the sun will come out, then I'll give it a try.
I'll let you know if it all worked out.

I don't have a HN-CP11-thingy yet. But if I unscrew my pola filter, the adaptor will do the same job I guess...

Brolly !

You can always get some nice textures with wet paintwork, these were taken in-between showers:

There are plenty of waterproof-snorkelling-diving type housings, and whilst a lot are expensive bits of kit, there are a few relatively inexpensive which will just give you the proection needed for a downpour.

You'll probably get something far more characterful with a few H2O drops anyway....

That's what I am hoping for. But it has to stop raining now and then in order to be able to take such a pic...
A dark grey sky with a stainless steel DMC could make a great pic...
The owner lives near a river, so putting the car on a dike could help to eliminate disturbing trees or buildings at the horizon...

Already looking forward to it!

New from Crapocam Products. Compatible with any hot shoe equipped camera

Investments may go up and down. Your camera is at risk if you use this product. Don't eat nuts or laugh at people who are obviously harder than you.

I guess it's not very wise to ask if there are other kinds of dikes?
And how does one put a car on it? And WHY?

Now - you're not taking this seriously are you!???

But what a good idea - a little umbrella-like cover that slots into a hotshoe!

Could of done with one of those the other day at the London to Brighton run.

The 100-400 got a bit wet to say the least, had condensation between the lens and filter.
