4.18 miles per £pound

Not sure what that works out to be in miles per gallon (I was driving 'as I normally do, some town, lots of country lanes) and thought Id share. Who else has calculated the cost per mile/gallon in petrol?

I usually try not to think about it! Thats about 24p a mile! And thats without any other costs, probably nearer £1 a mile if you add other costs.....expensive toy!

Im not sure, but I *think* my clutch is going. So thats 10k miles since the last one, if it is going. Which is £100 in clutches a month! I also try not to think about it

At £1 per litre that's somewhere around 18-20mpg. Quite normal (if not frugal) for mine.

Hi Bob,
This will make you sick, but last year the 350i did 33p /mile including everything except depreciation.
The first year I had it, it was 91p a mile, and it has slowly got better ever since. A number of reasons for this. Now I do a lot less miles, and seem to have less go wrong. Also, as I have got older the insurance is a fraction of what it was ( also helped by less miles, better postcode etc )

The run out was a lot of country lanes. Normally, I do a great deal of town driving (and push it from time to time) I wouldnt be surprised if I somtimes got a fair bit less than 15mpg

The other thing that makes me sick, is the fact that you have 2 TVR's in your garage Wow, though... 91p is a fair whack!

And it was over a fair few miles to. On the other hand, it did include stainless exhaust & manifolds, and all the bits for front & rear suspension rebuilds, and an ECU, and.......
