I need suggestions! Desperately want her back! She got really fed up with me not asking her to marry... now she's ended it.

I did ask her there and then but she wont have it now. What to do?

Jeez... but heavy for a Friday afternoon.

Well the worst thing you could do is propose... she'll think you're doing it for the wrong reasons...

Mate of mine proposed after being given an ultimatum. They'd been together for 8 years. The marriage lasted about six months.

Try a big bunch of Interflora stuff. With lots of roses.

However - don't want to put a downer on it but if your lack of proposal was the only issue then maybe it is an excuse - unless she wants the kids malarky.

Mr Big proposed to me once - I told him to ask me again when he was sober (it was New Year's Eve) and 11 years later I am still waiting.

Having tried for about 2 months to win my ex back, and failed utterly - please disregard any advice I might give!

You know her, we on here dont, so only grand gestures or generalities would be the best we could suggest. You found the way into her heart once, there must be something you can think of?

Wait until you've got loads of replies to this thread saying "beg her to come back, buy her lots of expensive pressies, apologise for ignoring her needs", then...

1) beg her to come back
2) buy her lots of expensive pressies
3) apologise for ignoring her needs
4) print out this thread and give it to her, saying that you were so upset at losing her that you simply had to ask your friends for advice on how to get her back. 'Cos you love her and really do want her back. (Don't say you want to marry her unless you really do, because once you've gone down that route there's no going back...)

Oh, for item 4) though, make sure you delete any helpful suggestions by certain members of the community.

Ignoring her is the hardest thing to do though :-(

No, don't ignore her completely. She'll think you don't care and are out having flings.

But on the other hand, don't call her at every hour of the day either. Just be yourself, act normal. If possible.

I was suggesting that Marumba might not want your advice given that statement!

It's the weekend haven't you got any mates you could go and see (people who know her as well as you (unlike us, who don't really know either))

I'd say, have a think for a couple of days, I've never met a woman who was impressed with begging or harassment

Mrs Podie has received flowers TWICE in 2 years for that very reason.
