Is my clutch definitely going

does it help if you pump the clutch? if so it could be that you are leaking clutch fluid past the saels in either the slave or master cylinder.
Not stiff enough to require help or additional pumping, or multiple tries. Just stiff enough to draw attention to itself, but a little extra pressure and I can pull it off er.. I mean out.
When I bought the cerb (january) the gears were VERY stiff. I took it back to the dealer and had a new clutch fitted. Im wondering, and hoping that this isnt the beginning of the stiffness of a new clutch. ie, does it start very gradually at first?
It may not be nothing at all! All my (numerous) clutches have felt different from time to time - for example when cruising in 5th for quite a while and then having to change, it sometimes used to feel as if it had gone to sleep.
Also, when my clutches have gone in the past, there has been no warning or strange behaviour at all, and i have been told that this is often the case. Strange thing Cerb clutches!

Interestingly enough, at work recently we had a presentation by a clutch manufacturer, who said in modern master cylinder construction they have a valve in the master which allows fluid to flow up from the slave cylinder so when everything is cold any over pressurized fluid in the slave is returned to the reservior and a tiny (0.6mm) hole to allow fluid to bleed past the cylinder when the pedal is at rest which then fills the slave cylinder once everything is hot and expanded in volume or the clutch is worn and more fluid is required as the slave has to move further.
The reason was just to keep the pedal feel consistant throughout the vehicle / clutch life
