I have a bad cold at the moment, well that's what I think it is. Other people are telling me to go to the doc.
Basicly I have been unwell a week, and have had a sore throat, which has been joined now with what I would say is a head cold. I have lost my voice a few times, but feel rough but not bad bad. I don't like the doc, and also don't want to bother them with triva, but, medics, what do you think?

Man flu is nothing to worry about - it's bird flu you don't want to catch...

just a cautionary tale.....

a mate of mine (about 45 yrs old) came into visit us at work and he did not look well. he said that he felt ill - really ill and rough - flu, aches, headache, loss of energy. He did look bad. We told him to go to the doc, but he didnt, he would ride it out.

A few days later the guy is in a coma with meningitus, almost dies from it, made a sort of a recovery but now suffers with mental problems and fits. His life is in tatters.

The only clue was that 'he' felt really bad, ie like no other cold/flu that he has ever had. Other people had told him to go to the doc.

This is the 2nd fit adult male I know who has had menigitus. The first also with disaterous results on his life.

If you feel it is not normal flu and you feel really realy bad, do go to the doc just to be safe.
