Hate to think what you pay for insurance.

A friend took a ctr out 2 years back and then went online to get some insurance quotes. These ranged from 3k to 18k.

Great colour, enjoy the car.

"Standard for the moment" please keep it that way, don't modify it at all

Just be careful where you park it - they're not the most stolen car in the country for nothing...

Very nice, needs modifying by the sounds of it.

Exhaust & filter at least

The guys on the civictyper forum will tell you what you need

Got to admit they do look rather devilish in that colour. Has anyone seen the pictures of the new concept one?

Ohhh yes it does, exhaust and air filter = increase of 25BHP and an amazing sound. Absolutley amazing performance and sound then, just improving on an already good start that Honda have made.

Hi Guys,

I'm 20 and have got a '00 civic vti. I'm insured by Admiral - £800ish pounds. Was very impressed.

Nice..but an ITR is faster and handles better

Just kidding, those breadvans are great. I'd still keep my DC2 over it though. Weren't you tempted by a DC5 or was the insurance too high?

Nothing wrong with a decent aftermarket exhaust. See what happens if say on the Ferrari and Lamborghini forum that cars shouldn't have a different exhaust put on them.

Similarly there's nothing really wrong with a chip change and air filter if that's your cup of tea.

Body mods... well, that's a slightly different issue!

cool... great engine! I have one in my Lotus Exige, DrJekyll and mr Hyde complex that will pootle around town and turn into a wailing banshee that likes to be treated rough when you wind it up to 8200rpm.
