You need some sealer when you re-assemble them. I got my when I had the rims polished by Coatech Surfaces. Speak to Euan on 01241 854911. They have done a most super job on the rims.

Cirks , you are mad who else would spend that much on a Wedge

Fitted a 28Kva alternator to the 400SE to keep them that shiny !!!

Brillo pad ?

I was thinking of getting mine refurbed too.

I might try the place which did my 280i (Compomotive cross spoke) ones about 3 months ago.
They did a good job at 40 quid a wheel, but I'd imagine the OZs will be dearer (?)

I only sent him the rims - that looks bl**dy awful !!!

He sent me one rim after polishing for approval before doing the rest.

See what you mean now David.

As per Steve's car or mine (which you can see in my profile unlike Steve's which isn't working....unless the latest upgrade has been to make the car into a little red cross Usually explains why the 16" wheels are in diff colours..I just didn't spray the rest of the car to match the wheel colour unlike in Steve's case

Just an update on my "refurbished" wheels.

I have received an apology and even better a cheque in settlement. I would have preferred the outstanding court case to have gone ahead but I feel they have made sufficient reparation

Now just to get them done again!

I have just bought 3 damaged wheels & hope to get 2 good ones out of them but they will need refurbing. I would be grateful for any advice on a good refurber in the north west.

Can't suggest a refurber, but spotted this:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OZ-SPLIT-RIM-wheels-alloy-TVR-

As one of my own spares also needs repair, Image Wheels might be worth a try.
