So, we had the main BBC news about the failure to push through the 90 day detention vote and the thrust of the programme was about Bliar and his inability to control his own party. The tone was quite anti-Bliar and certainly not the usual party political broadcast.

To me it looks like Bliars days of doing what he wants without challenge ended on the 9th November 2005. Has he finally lost his control?

Let's hope so, but I can't see him going yet

But if he does go, will you change your name to Bliargone?

I've a feeling there is an undercurrent of discontent generally with the entire Labour party, not just Bliar and it's coming from those who used to be sympathtic towards New(?) Labour.

One can only hope it's the start of a slippery downhill slope... with sharks, broken glass, razor wire, big dogs and a posse of Deliverance-style hillbillies a-waiting at the bottom.

Best Prime minister you have ever had.
It will take you a long time to realise it though.
What do you want a differant Labour one or god forbid a Conservative one.

Some people would complain which ever MP was in charge.

If you disagree with the first line, name a better one.

Nothing worse with the conservatives gov'
At least they don't fritter away our taxes on benefits for low life scum (n.b. not all dole users are scum, learn to understand arguement structure before you claim thats what I mean)

The problem is anyone who wants to be a politician is obviously mentally unfit to do the job and anyone who would be a good politician is smart enough not to touch the job with a remote controlled 100ft pole.

It's a catch 22 situation. Bloody ancient Greeks, all their fault

Unfortunately we'll end up getting rid of the prat for the wrong reason.
Britain has a long history of shooting itself in the foot, and I personally believ this is a case in point.
Does anyone really believe our Police will use the 90 day rule to arrest any old Joe Bloggs for 3 months....I think not..especially as they will need High Court approval every 7 days??
Human Rights was introduced for the very best of reasons, but like so may things its been hi-jacked by those with an agenda
Stand up for what IS right, not what you're told is right

I'd prefer it if he stayed tbh, best he is still there nearer the next election. If he goes now it gives a.n.other more time to get their feet under the table before then.
As for best prime minister ever, I'll take odds that he will go down as the smarmy lying one who will be hung at The Tower gates postumously. Whilst on the subject Gordo wil go down as the Chancellor that did most most long term and lasting damage to the British economy , all whilst fritting away billions on absolutely nothing . The remainder of the jumped up shop stewards should be shipped off to what remains of eastern europe for a 'christmas carol' moment. Wake up and smell the coffee if you really think they have doen anything of substance to this country.

I have deep reservations about the 90 day thing. If our Police had shown themselves dependable in the past, NOT to misuse laws that were passed, (for other purposes), for their own (catch all) reasons, or political convenience by the government in power (see miners) then I would have had some sympathy..

As it is, I wouldn't trust 'em an inch. If the 90 day law had been in force when a pensioner shouted "Rubbish" at a (so called) Labour Party Conference, he would have spent 3 months in jail for it arrested has he was under the "terrorism act". Who's fault was it?....The government?...The Police, using it has a "catch all"?...

Nah! I don't trust the Police and I don't trust Tory B. Liar...

People here should realise that it was the "Left" of the (real) Labour party that voted with the Concervatives today......Yep! those damned socialistas saved the day for you...

wasnt the conservatives trying to push the 90 day thing, it was the pratt that you voted for!

if you think that someone would spend 90 days in clink for shouting rubbish, you must have a lower opinion of billy and new labia, than i have and i for one have never been tempted to vote for this flock of political detritus!

What makes you think that I voted for him?.....to clear things up.....I didn't!
