Why are exam questions so boring?

I just don't get this, are exam boards trying to kill kids of boredom?
I've got DT homework, its an AS exam question from 2003 and part d is:
'Discuss the importance of aesthetics to the design of sports shoes' [6]
Do I really care??? I don't want to design 'sports shoes'! And why the hell can't they say trainers instead of sports shoes???
Or 'Discuss the importance of quality assurance to the consumer and manufacturer'. I don't f
king care! The amount of time this takes (well, this, being on PH and trying to create a new music playlist on itunes) mens I'm getting behind on coursework!
And to top it off, I'm being bribed by teachers to get f'ing work in on time! I was the only one to meet the first deadline that was set by one of my teachers (having worked for 2 days solidly during half term) and he gave me a £5 WH Smiths voucher. Now I don't mind being given free stuff, but I don't believe that he should be bribing kids. Isn't that illegal?

Yeh, they are all the same and I'm so bored by them. I can easily get full marks in them, but I have loads more fun/important things to be doing rather than this crap. They take time, and I really don't have time to spare atm.

how much spare time will you have when you have a mortage and a job with an even more demanding boss who is constantly phong you up to come in on your days off. hassling you to get your work done sooner than deadline.
nothing wrong with those questions. no point in designing stuff if no body will buy it. and that is just about the whole point

Don't take offence but if you're on Pistonheads posting this twaddle then i find it hard to believe you don't have any spare time, or indeed any fun and/or important things to do.

'Cos people buy things that look cool and the idea is that eventually you'll need to make a living out of something.
And whatever that "something" is you'll be doing it while thinking about a milllion fun things you'd rather be doing - so get used to it
