DVD Drive on Laptop Region Hack?

[neil_cardiff]

Hi All,

Am having a bit of a dim day here, have a Dell Latitude X300 which a director is off on travels with, and has asked whether the drive is region free.

Now I can't remember - probably cos I've never needed to, but is the drive region-free and the software (i.e. PowerDVD) locked or is it the other way around?

Can anyone help - and possibly point me in the direction of a hack if I need one?

Many Thanks

Neil

Makes your drive region free without changing the coding

I have a Dell X200 and found that I was unable to get a hack for the DVD drive. My main requirement is to play DVDs, and I found that the vlc player will play all region DVDs; it's not a bad player and it's free.
