Describe it very accurately, attach some damn fine pics, and state full postage costs etc.. so as to avoid any confusion when it comes to checkout time.
Postage costs will be dificult to work out, should i just put buyer collects as some of my items are heavy and the cost could be worked out after the sell, how do you do it?,thanks.
Main thing is people do not want to get in contact with you at all. Give them all the information that you think might be asked, even the simple stuff ( you will be amazed at what gets asked.
Spilt the description up into easy bite sized chunks, not one big paragraph of small writing ( hate that ), and if possible altenate the colours of the paragraphs ( I tend to use blue and black, and important parts in red ), makes it easier to read, also use larger writing for the same reason
Make the postage clear ( inc or not, insured or not, local pick up etc give them lots of option, if you don't know the price look at other items like your see what they are charging and add £2 est to inc insurance ), tell them about you a little bit, what your selling, why you bought it, why your selling it etc make people see you as a person as opposed to a faceless computer auction.
Always answer questions sent to you and if they are good questions post them up on the auction ( it asks you whether you want to do this when repling), and remember you can change the auction details no problems before any one else bids on the item, so if you post it and don't like the look you can always change it.
Good luck

I could point you towards some very cheap and reliable courier companies if your items are too heavy for Royal Mail but under 25kg

Use a VERY secure password, consisting of numbers AND letters as long as possible, don't conduct any business through e-mail, only go through the e-bay site, and install the new e-Bay security toolbar, (Onlt takes 2 minutes to do).....Also have a good firewall installed.
