Wife placed an order for a box set of DVD's (about £140) and paid the extra money for next day delivery. Normal delivery is free and takes 3 to 5 days.

Three days later they still haven't arrived, so she goes on-line to track her order and it says that it hasn't even been processed yet.

The £5 next day delivery payment was a bit of a waste of time then

HMV website has no support telephone number to call and no e-mail address, just a message linky dink.

Anyone else had this problem with them?

IIRC it was around that figure and I think it was the complete set of friends

Still, at least I'll have a bit of car tinkering time without getting disturbed

I find with most sites its almost impossible to find a telephone number or an address. I often have to call Lawyers and it can take 5-10 mins to find a number from a website.

Dear oh dear - are you sure the set hasn't met with an unfortunate end? Perhaps you accidentally reversed over it... Or ought to

I give it a week before you develop a nervous twitch every time you hear the theme tune or someone saying "eeeeuuwwwwww"

Courtney Cox was very sexy in the earlier series.

Never been as keen on Jennifer Aniston but having said that, she could be my willy warmer anyday

If you buy from the HMV site, the goods come from the Channel Islands, 'cos then you save on tax up to £18. So the extra distance could be one reason, or, if the goods were over £18 it could be that they're being checked by customs for the Import Duty and VAT.

play.com is pretty much the only online shop I'll go to for CD's, DVD's etc. Amazon is great but can't compete price wise until more is purchased.

Oh, and play.com has first rate customer service in every aspect. One of the proper companies.

Status has gone form "awaiting processing" to "awaiting dispatch", now 4 days later!

Not great when you pay £5 extra for next day delivery

Just had an e-mail saying goods dispatched and will take 48 hours to deliver.

They must have a totally different idea of 24 hour delivery to me, adding a zero on the end will be closer to the length of time it's taken.

It's a bit off that they offer something and charge extra for it but literally can't deliver!

We've asked for the 24hr delivery fee back but they have just ignored it

Been using them for years, top company. If its in stock its usually sent out within 24 hours with an e-mail to confirm.

I wouldn't mind it taking a while if they were upfront about it but I do object to the dishonesty of them offering next day delivery for an extra £5 when they MUST know it is not possible to delivery next day. I wonder how much money they make on their "special delivery"
