When I bought a pair of these badges about two years ago, I first contacted TVR Blackpool parts dept who politely advised me my local TVR dealer should have them in stock. Certainly the TVR Centre did and the posted them two me, cost about £5.00.

Looking forward to putting them on. Also thinking about one of those plenum insulators. Anyone know how much difference they make?

Wouldn't say 0-60 is affected but cruising is certainly better. Better response dabbing the go pedal in 5th etc.

They probably will not make a power advantage but will make the
fuel entering the engine cooler.. so less chance of pinking when it's all hot. Which is a good thing.

If you were to run too high a c/r then this would help it to run better and therefore more power but because of the high cr running without pinking or pre ignotion.

If you had a blower / turbo then you would be able to make use of the cooler & denser charge.

So you might be able to run with slightly more ignition advance? Have I missed something? Is someone selling some new go-faster bits? I've been abroad for the last few weeks and have only skimmed through the postings.

Am I correct in believing that the 390SEs had the highest C.R. as standard ? (10.25:1)

Presumably that engine could also be expected to benefit the most - ie, have the timing set a little more advanced, providing high octane fuel was also used.

I suppose I should be asking wedg1e really.

Personally I find it adds to the whole package, along with the other odds and sods done. A quick spurt past a chain of traffic on the m way, more effortless than before. Or is it me?

some of the SEACs are wilder than that standard
