bonnet prob.

at the front of my bonnet where its hinged on the passenger side its gone all loose! just had a quick look and it looks like there's a threaded bolt that is fixed into the bonet then attaches to the rose joint, the bolt that looks like its moulded in to the bonnet has fell through, mmmmm! how and how much to fix?

Take the bonnet off by undoing the 4 retaining bolts and fill if not too far gone with epoxy resin into the cavity.Support the hinge bolt overnight and re-attatch all in 2 days time.

I noticed two weeks ago that mine has done exactly the same, coincidentally on the same side, not too bad yet. I guess its one of those "when I get around to it" jobs

I had the same problem when I first bought the Chim. Tower View did a lovely neat job of fixing it. You can't seee there was ever a problem now!

Cheers folks, i thought it looked like it was bonded in, bonnet off then and resin the stud back, good job i noticed it because the bloody bonnet always looks like it gonna blow off over a ton and thats with every thing ok, funny but i was just saying how the cars been fualtless ever since i've ownen it that'll teach me. thanks again for your help.
