issued a parking ticket by a private clamping firm?

hi, i need some advice on a legal issue, last night i was given a parking ticket by a private clamping firm,they didnt however clamp my car, does the ticket actully mean anything legally or is it not worth the paper its written on? surely if they wanted to go through the long drawn out process of civil proceedings i could just turn around and deny my car was ever there in the first place making thier claim null and void?

I got one for parking in a B&Q carpark early morning for 45 mins!
I just ignored the damand for 50 quid.
Heard no more.

nevermind, its going to go in the bin, in fact first i think i might ring the number and tell them thier ticket isnt worth the paper its writen on
