Red Rose Upgrade Issues

Has anyone any experience of the impact the red rose upgrade might have on insurance premiums for either a Tamora/T350 ?.

Also, and please pardon my ignorance, is it just a simple case of informing the DVLA that the engine capacity has gone up from 3.6 to 4.0 and then letting them amend the vehicle registration document accordingly ?.

Costs me 10% on my insurance for it factory-installed on my Cerb, so will likely be the same or possibly more for post-factory modification.

Wasn't aware the RR pack increased the engine size for the Tamora/T350, as I can only recall seeing few 4.0L ones - could easily be wrong though, as I've not spent huge amounts of time looking.

Can't say what you'd need to do with the DVLA, my V5 doesn't mention anything about RR (engine size wasn't changed), although some insurance companies pick up on the upgrade when I give them the registration, so it must be held somewhere.

If you are interested in an 2004 Red Rose T350T finished in Lazer Blue, i know where there is one going for really SILLY money! Cheap as chips and a full warranty!

My engine size wasn't increased, My insurance company weren't bothered as it was a facttory fitted option from new. Hope this helps.

I paid the same for my Tamora Red Rose as for a "standard" T350c. This is through Sunninghill. FYI, the Tam in Mystic Black Pearl is for sale at David Gerald. One careful owner to 4500 miles.
