How much does the fuel tank hold

I am at work and just filled up on the way and it took 35.73l (gauge still only reading 3/4)
I dont have the bible here at work so sorry to bother ??

About 240 miles Thinks it around 50 litres, I wouldnt rely on the Guage as the sender in the tank isnt allways that precise. It can be made better by taking it out and making sure the contacts are better/closer and the float is right in relation to the tank( which takes a bit of guess work).
I think a lot of owners use the mileometer/trip to estimate when they need a fill up.

I filled it to the brim 56 l of the 100ron French stuff, after finding one motorway station closed and the next one (self service) only accepting French credit cards. It was reading under empty at the time, I thought I'd have to start pushing. I know its not good to run the tank empty but I had no choice.

Yup ran out in Newcastle. 5 litres from a jerrycan, then 53 litres after driving around for Optimax for a bit.

My guess is 55 litres although I've heard others quote 57

According to the book, its a 57ltr tank. But how much of that is usable, and how much the pipe holds are unknown.

My car starts picking up air when the fuel is low, especially on cornering. At this point the guage reads somewhere between empty and a quarter full! In any event, once it reaches this stage, I can fit almost 55 litres in it.

My guage is hopeless, 20 miles after brimming it will show a qtr used, I always tend to go by the trip and fill up after about 160 miles which will usually cost about £35 ish.
It always shows qtr full at this point though.

It's 57 ltrs. I always fill up at between 230-240 miles, and usually get 50-52 ltrs in.

50 litre - when I dare go no lower get 49 - 50 in daft ging further - ran out once in last one - once is enough.

my '99 takes 57.1 litres from empty this was after 201 miles of 'around town' driving - but usually it is 230-ish miles to 52-ish litres. I suspect I'd underfuelled it the tank before. (I don't usually trust the first 'cut out' from the pump and give it another go to check it's really full.)

Agree with Andy about it picking up air and giving due warning - I had a few miles notice - initially, running slightly rough on cornering, then a 'flat spot' beyond halfway acc pedal about 3 miles before empty, then some spluttering 1 mile before, then it all goes quiet... Came to a stop 500 yards from the petrol station I was trying to get to.

Definately 57 litres. Got both a chim and a Tuscan, yep, glutton for punishment!! Same size tank but the Tuscan shows you digitaly. Tuscans a little bit more fidgety when it gets to around 10 ltrs, but I've also experienced the Chim running out but with a little more luck, as it managed to roll into the garage. But in good old TVR tradition, the bloody thing would not turn over after I'd filled up. Don't you just love them.
