My current road set are Pirelli Pzero assimetrico - rubbish, will be going back to the Michelin Pilot Sports next time - more expensive but less road noise, better grip and more durable in my experience.

Only had M Pilot Sports so no comparison here. Don't know about summer tyres but for a greasy and wet winter I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Dunlops are good but not in the cold AND wet - and it seems they're hard to find. Stick a winter tyre on and swap them for something sticky in the Spring. You can then pop them back on next winter.

For a road set - I have tried Bridgestone SO2's, Mich Pilot Sport's and Pirelli P zero on 996's (C4 and GT3) and have SO2's on at the moment. These seem to give best all round performance imho.
