You know when you the valves have closed up...

.... No neither did I until I took the Cerby into Leven for a new radiator. I mentioned that it didn't really feel as quick as I expected so Dan the Man said he would investigate. Turns out all inlet valves on the N/S bank were set to zero and not opening correctly if at all.
Picked the car up engine sounded a lot smoother and with a different note, hey must have been the valves afterall I thought, Simon warns me about traction, take it easy etc. Listening politely but thinking, well the road are dry and I've never had a problem with traction and I've had it for 7 months and it hasn't killed me yet so I'll be okay.
Off I go home, hang on has someone changed the rear tyres for bicycle rubber .... no, right best be careful about traction then.
Onto a dual carriage way give it the 'usual' between the two roundabouts about half a mile apart ... Hang on has some one moved those roundabouts closer together and the speedos over reading by 30mph as I approach my normal braking point. Best take it easy then.
Now I know what a Cerby should go like, pinned in your seat, passenger whimpering and mostly sideways. Fantastic! can't be legal having this much fun can it?
I wonder how many horses and torques I was down before the tappets were adjusted?
