My good friend and business partner and fellow PHer 'blindswelledrat' was burgled last night while he, his pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter slept. Fortunately no-one woke and therefore they are all safe albeit very shaken and angry.

Other than some high value items which were taken it seems the burglers came intent to take the keys for their vehicles.

Would you all please look out for the following that were all taken in the early hours this morning:

Metallic Red/burgundy Volvo XC90 - reg no YA53 ZBE
Silver BMW 318i Saloon - reg no LL04 XRC
Red Ducati 748 - reg no HJ02 NMM - very distinctive as it has an aftermarket fairing.

This happened in the Prestwood area of Buckinghamshire this morning.

If the mods could sticky this it would be appreciated.

Cheers.

It's awful when something like this happens. Will be in and around Buckingham and Aylesbury this afternoon so will keep my eyes peeled.

That is not good. Thankfully no one hurt though. Similar thing happened to us couple of years ago - scum bags broke in to nick S3 keys - luckily in Thailand at the time.

Car was crashed next day in Luton (I live in Leighton Buzzard). Unfortunately, the best way is for people like us to look out for the vehicles. In our experience the Police were not particulary profficient, it took a call from an ex police friend to even find out the car had been crashed! When we phoned the police to ask if the driver was dead, they didn't know it had happened.

Sorry to hear this,as long as they are all OK thats the first and main thing.
Now to start tracking these Bastards down....how much fuel was in the vehicles...if they were lowish then they would of had to stop to refuel...check out nearby garages if thats the case,,there cant be too many open that time of the morning......were these vehcles seen by local cab drivers?....i know the police are on the case but its sometimes worth doing your own investigation,i caught someone who nicked my debit card like this a few years back and got to video evidence before it could be scrubbed.

They could of used a low loader or van for the bike?

Good Luck.

Sorry to hear it, but its good that nothing happened to the family.

Take a look around the local scroaty estates - they will often drive them a short distance and then park them up for a few days to see if they are fitted with a tracker. If no-one recovers the car they will then do what they want with it...

Could be worth a bit of a drive round?

Is it not because it ends 2BE rather than ZBE? As ZBE isn't valid.

Hopefully they will get caught, at which point they won't get what they deserve, but at least it's some comfort.

Results for ya52 zbe

This is a free selection of data held by DVLA about the vehicle registration entered.

Vehicle details
Manufacturer CITROEN
Model BERLINGO 600D X
Body type CAR DERIVED VAN
Colour WHITE
Fuel type HEAVY OIL
Date manufactured 11 February 2003

There was no YA53 ZBE so I tried a few numbers either side.

I was offering a suggestion, not a statement of fact.

How do you lose 3 vehicles in one shot? This seems to have involved 3-4 people at least and I'm guessing the vehicles weren't alarmed? Were they on the street or driveway? Probably a good job he was asleep.

Thanks for all your support PH.
We are all ok thanks.
The reg number IS correct so im not sure why its not showing.
Boosted- the vehicles were alarmed but thay had the keys!.
Fortunately I sleep like a log so I didnt know anything about it.
Best estimates that there were 3/4 of them with a van so even had I woken I wouldnt have been much good. They broke on through the conservatory at around 3-4 am Friday morning and were in and out within a couple of minutes They grabbed a feww valuables but didnt turn the house upside down. Losses include wallet/cards, Bvlgari watch, laptop and worst of all a cheap crap video with film of my daughter since birth. ing dirty stinking s.
Unfortunatel as the Ducati was on the driveway the insurance will not pay for it so all in all its been an expensive couploe of days
Also fortunately my wife is pretty good at not being girly so we arent going through the 'oh we feel violated we dont feel safe in our own home stage'. In fact were going throught he 'We'd love to cut off thier cocks and force vinegar, wasps, fire and sand into the wounds' stage.
Anyway thanks again for the support and keep your eyes peeled.
