I know its only November, but the shops have been full of xmas stuff for weeks now, and our local council put up the towns xmas lights mid October.

So who's started. I have, but I have my daughters birthday at the beginning of Dec and my sons the beginning of Jan (really good timing).

Got the kids main presents, and paying for a Ridedrive for my husband for xmas but other than that, not got a clue what to get.

Anyone got any good ideas? Have you sorted out what your buying or do you go on a wing and a prayer? Are you organised or do you go on xmas eve in a panic and buy anything you can find thats vaguely suitable?

Spoke to a woman the other day who had finished her xmas shopping

MrsV6 has done most of ours. We have an arrangement: she shops for it & I pay for it. Everyone's a winner...

I had brain fade last year so all the ladies ended up with a pashima. Some got shawls some just a scarf. I got them from www.mypashmina.co.uk/ good prices fast delivery and everyone was pleased. Shame I cant get them all the same this year, one website, one order sorted.

Good idea will have a look, and the piston heads mug, have already ordered one, and no doubt it will be travelling to Iraq in the new year.

Just bought my best friend some of that L'Oreal Wrinkle De-Crease collagen filler. Hope she's still my friend after xmas.

Me Iv'e booked a week in Gran Canaria before and a week in the Italian Alps after. I will be back for Xmas day itself but that's it.

Xmas a wonderful time to eat too much, spend too much, drink too much, and rekindle old family feuds or even start new ones. Marvellous.

Santa.......... rearrange those letters.....Satan..... coincidence?

Christmas, the time to celebrate consummerism in all its fetid glory. I'll buy my nearest a dearest a few drinks around christmas but outside of that i don't bother buying gifts. As for recieving gifts, i can buy my own useless crap, i don't need someone else to get it for me.... does this make me a miserable old git?

If you buy your pressies early for everyone how do you know you'll still be friends with them by Xmas?

Glass half empty, there's always someone out to get you, every silver lining has a cloud!

We had got our little girls presents by the end of August

Bought the first one for stepson last week (off the cuff, I just thought it looked ace so I bought it)

One or two small bits for "special friend"

Don't buy for adults otherwise, too many kids in the family
