Appealled my parking ticket and won.

I was ticketed on a single yellow line on a bank holiday. Westminster Council had suspended the parking, but they did not post any signage to indicate that they had done so.

I appealed based on the fact that their was no clear signage, and quoted the case of a similar case, brought in the same street where signage was not clear and the case was dropped.

Cheaky bastards - I wonder how many people did not appeal and just paid up!!!

Just goes to prove that it is worth appealling for 2 reasons:

1. You might get your money back.
2. It will cost them more money!!

Get the Evening Standard to publish this - at least write to their Letters page. It might prompt other victims to appeal - Streaky

Presumably to allow them not to collect council tax. A few parking tickets/year would be much cheaper than my council tax!

Thanks everyone

Of course it should be noted that there response was that they were only granting me, because the parking attendant did not photograph the parking restrictions.

Cheeky bastards, they didn't even apologise.
