Just a quick check to see if anyone has any ideas.

Are there any UK-based non-endurance circuit racing series for cars like the Nissan 200sx that I'm missing? Just before I go and buy an Exige, or a Caterfield, instead...

Various regional Sport/Saloon championships around the country, where you could go pretty wild with the mods if your budget allowed. I would have thought there's plenty you could race one in, but why not buy a Lotus or Caterfield in the first place and go a lot faster, have a much wider choice of championships to race in and have a bit more fun for the same money?

try the SEMSEC sports/saloons, the K&N sports/saloons and the DDMC organised races though I am not sure if this championship is still running.

The SEMSEC championships are still running, try barc.net then go to the SE region part of the website.

Try Castle Combe. They've been running races for GT's and Sportcar's for a long time, cars racing include Sierra Cosworths and Rover 220 turbo's. Plus, they have just broken away from the BRSCC and are now running their own races, which will probably mean that there will be class structures.
Only (potential) downside is that you'll probably spend most of the season racing at Combe, which can be good, or bad, depending on your point of view!

The idea of drifting just doesn't do it for me - I much prefer grip driving, and circuit racing is now what I want to move up to. I'm not a member, but I'm often found lurking Driftworks keeping an eye out for bucket seats Sxoc is my usual haunt.

The NW championship is interesting (and is in the right area!) so I'll do a bit more reading. Otherwise, it's curtains for the 200sx
