Evenign All, went out tonight to Felixstowe with the tripod & took these. All comments gratefully received:

Shot at f16 30"

Shot at f16 20"

Shot at f22 4"

Edited to add the basic Exif data - all shot at ISO200

Excellent work Chris. I like the composition in no 2 best. Wouldn't have put the sun centrally over the tank traps in 3 and maybe the big borders are a little heavy, but the shots are first class.

Love the curve and the green and blue of the second shot, little bit worried about the large white area on th etop right, hope that doesn't become too dominant in a larger image.

Isn't that the moon in the 3rd rather than the sun ? Lighting is strangely flat and even would like to know more about that.

Prefer the composition of the 4th to the 1st. Good work though. Hope you didn't get too cold taking them.

Second one is great, as has been said before. Only comment would be the big borders eat up too much of the already small 750px you have available.

Quick question - since at least one of these is a 30 second exposure, was it very dark when you took them?

Gotcha.

That's the moon that is.... (and they aren't tank traps, they are the sea defences in shot 2)

They were taken at about 5.30pm on Sat night, and it was getting difficult to see what to frame the shot on...

Great fun though, and comments regarding the borders duly noted.

The border doesn't look quite so imposing when the images are full sized, but I bodged the resize for PH, lest Simpo take to shouting at me again for not doing any resizing

It would have been nice to see the exif data from the shot, this is a good way of helping others to learn how to come up with similar shots.

I've added the basics under each image for you. Hope that's OK.

The exif data is in them - and the second one was f8 not f16

How can I find the EXIF data in the files?
Do I need special software for that?
(I've got an old iMac running OS9.2)

Great pics!
