How old is your kiddy? There are a couple of new seats on the market which fit nicely. We have a Britax Hi-Liner at £55.00, about 1/3 the price of the Recaro Start and it fits the Cerbera very nicely. There is also a new seat in the recaro range for similar weight children at about £85, but I cannot remember the name of it. They are suitable from about 15 kg, so not suitable for very small children.

We tried that Britax seat in our car and it just wouldn't fit securely enough

We went for the Recaro. Got ours online.

I found that if you leave the recaro start pro in the back seat (ie as opposed to folding into boot or shoving in the garage) then it can start to leave perm imprint dips in the back seat.

Same with the Britax one Im upgrading from. I only put it in when Im taking the kids out in the car. Ruins my street cred otherwise
