Help...Adaptor plate.....

I thought that I'll try fitting the adaptor plate today........
Offered it up to the engine and the crank 'balance' fouled!
The hole it seems is not big enough by about, to be safe, 1/4 inch. I guess I can get the hole milled bigger, I'll speak to the factory tomorrow anyway but, has anyone else encounted this?
I have an American Speed 383 engine.

Yes, there are two different adaptor plates. I had the same problem with my 383, I sent the plate back to the factory and they sent me the correct one back. The only difference is that the hole is enlarged to clear the larger balance weight, so it may be quicker for you to have it modified locally.

Thanks Paul, I'm going to phone the factory tomorrow as I'm in the area on Tuesday. Whats the chances of them having one!!!!!

Same problem for me. I sent back to the factory and had it back by the end of the week- they have a use sometime!!!!!
