Those "Baby On Board" Signs
Discussion
Look
If you're bright enough to observe that your baby is AT RISK from being in a vehicle (and isn't everyone?) ...
...and you think it worthy of a stupid sign to advertise/warn of the fact...
Why not just leave the baby at home???
Oh, and I assume you don't display the sign when the baby's not on board, anyway - otherwise if you have an accident we'll all waste our time looking for it instead of staunching your blood flow....

I thought that the idea was if there's an accident the emergency services know to look for a baby in the car.
I suppose the force on the impact could have wedged the wee little person under a seat, in the open glovebox, or even down the back of the backseat where the BiBs of firemen might miss it?

Agreed.
I know there is a baby on board because the driver is covered is vomit and hasn't had a decent haircut in months. The mother in the passenger seat looks like an exploding bag of rags and has breasts to her knees. You have an estate car to carry all the crap you think the parasite needs and you park right outide the supermarket door, even though you leave the kid in the car with the mother while you pop in for some cream for her piles.
When I meet you I know you have a baby because you tell everyone at every turn and produce photographs of a Winston Churchill lookalike. You take time off work an the most inconvenient times and expect me to cover for you, take the prime holiday times without thinking that those without kids might want Christmas and August off and can't do overtime because of the childminder (so I end up working late every time and missing my social engagements).
No, you don't ned to put a sign in the car window, and No I won't be looking for a baby if you have an accident, I will be woryying what I may catch from the baby vomit on your face if I give you the kiss of life.

I don't have kids

And as for the "Tiny Person On Board" and "Naughty Person On Board" signs...

The rise of those stomach-churningly twee ones such as "Princess on Board" or "Little Person on Board" should be curbed. And FAST.
Nooo, you are kidding right? Surely we havent stooped so low as this have we?
Oh god, I will just go out now and shoot myself - thats bloody awful...!
They bug me. I mean what do these people want me to do? get out and shake there hand on the creation of their child and as for the suggestion that the emergency services will look for them in an accident. So the kids seat (which should have been properly fixed into the car), toys, nappy bag, sun shade on the window aren't a little bit of a give away.
And before you ask, I'm looking forward to that time in the future when I have my own kids but as the wife and I have agreed. No Baby on board signs and definitely no people carrier!!!

Never had baby on board, and certainly not getting little princess on board, might give her ideas above her station.
But what about mum taxi and dads taxi signs............I'm sorry but if your mum or dad are not competent enough to take themselves either in a car on on public transport, then maybe they should be in sheltered accommodation and go on a mini bus with all the other old fogies.

I hate those things soooo much - why does anyone need them? Cant quite see the need.....
It was mentioned previously that they would be helpful in an emergency situation (stretching it a little I know) that in a crash, the emergency services would know there was a child on board. But I have never seen anyone take one of those flipping things out - one person in the car, sticker in the back window. Kinda makes the whole thing redundant really.....
Pointless and meaningless.....
