£200 a month isn't bad, that goes a long way towards HP on a decent car. No way I'd sign up in case I had to drive round in a car that said "Virgin" all over it.

[rant]
I still think it's pants that there are fewer and fewer things in this world that don't have advertising plastered all over them.
What next? How about branding livestock with adverts? Or paying farmers to paint slogans/logos with crops in their fields beside motorways (gotta be more profitable than 20 acres of wheat).

They did do the cow and horse thing in the US a couple of years back.

The animal wore a coat with the advert on it.

I remember seeing a cow with an advert for a Steak House on the side, and could not work out of it was a joke or seriouse or just an ironic moment.

I'm willing to bet that within a day of having this garb plastered on my car, someone would phone the number on the Ad, give them my reg no. and tell them what a twat I am.

Within hours, the ad agency would be on the phone, cancelling the deal and billing me for removing the ads from the car..

Really not for me..

btw I agree with Bonce on the proliferation of advertising.. have you read No Logo, Bonce?

Maybe if there was a company you really hated, you could have a 'culture jammed' ad on your car..

Cz, they'll pay you a contract penalty, when they cancel the contract earlier!!!
Not bad: 200quid*12months=2400quid for two weeks - no: one week advertising

Bonce & CarZee,

I agree - it was no sponsorship that got me interested in fast cars in the first place (well that and James Hunt's girlfried 'Hottie') when I found out about the original 'white' Hesketh F1 car going racing for FUN.

By the way CarZee what's No Logo ?

Have Fun

www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0006530400/ref=sr_aps_books_1_1/202-9894841-6946221

Not a light read and plays with lentlist anti-globulisation ideas, but contains some important ideas and arguments..

Worth reading if you have the time - eg. find yourself stuck in Wales or somewhere for a week..

If you advertised a "hair salon" on the side of your griff, would people think you are driving a hairdresser car?
