Rattle

When I first start the care up and head out I keep the revs down till she is warm, but when in 5th at low revs say 2500 when I let off the throttle I get a little rattle from the engine.... She seems ok in most other gears, prob because the revs are higher and I don't notice it on the over run. Once warmed up it stops doing it. Any ideas?

I had a rattle when the revs dropped off - the timing chain needed adjusting.

I don't think it's too hard to do Tom.

The chaps that serviced my Tuscan mentioned in a matter-of-fact way that they'd tightened up the timing chain a little as it needed done at the 1k post-rebuild service.

I hadn't noticed anything amiss prior to the service though regarding rattles.

I let my local specialist do mine. He did mention there are two chains that both needed adjusting.
