944 S2 Voltage
Discussion
I have a 944 S2 which is running perfectly however the volt gauge has started to fluctuate. It used to stay mid way between 12 and 14 but has started to read 10 then creap up to the 12 mark. This variation between 10 and 12 occurs as you are driving along. The car is starting fine and all the electrics are working as they should. Is this a sign that the battery or altenator are on their way out? Is this a common fault?
Any ideas...???!!!

Hi,
Test the specific gravity of the battery and also the voltage across the terminals when connected and disconnected. You could have a poor earth (casued by corrosion).
