Just had a bone-marrow biopsy done, they stuck a giant needle into my hip and although i didn't look, it felt like they were wrenching it back and forth. nice.

I dunno but having a cortisone injection right into my big toe joint nearly made me pass out, I was shaking like a shitting dog for an hour afterwards

I've heard this is excruciating...

*sends lots of happy thoughts*

Although the only way to find out what would be most painfull would be to take a volounteer and torture them like this for a while to establish a benchmark (one scream for yes, incoherent dribbling for no... now does this hurt?).

Mate of mine suggested that the most painfull experience of his life, beating a compound fracture in the calling for his mum stakes was an STD test involving a metal spatula... where the woman inserting said spatula slipped...

(sickeningly enough he went to have it done after an ex maliciously claimed she had something horrible and he should get checked out - she knew what he'd have to do through!)

Mmmm. I added my details to the national bone marrow register a donation or three ago. I'm not looking forward to being called up (if/when), but being potentially able to help out someone seriously ill kind of makes up for the wince factor.

Lumbar puncture day-after headaches are unbeleivably painfull, they virtually blind you
Similiar to a bad hang over, multiplied by about ten.

I had that years ago. It nipped a bit for a while.

(And it's not a giant needle, if you look at it - it's a 1/4" holesaw...)

Friend of mines just phoned me today after not telling anyone he's been in hospital for the past few weeks, the cause - Cancer of the eye, Opotomy or something, any way they removed his eye, placed a metal disc in the socket (about the size of a five pence piece) chucked the eye back in and sewn it back up for two weeks, then at odd daily intervals they zapped it with various chemicals and shit then told him he couldnt open them, for a week or so, ripped open the stiches, dropped the eye out, removed the disc and then lobbed it back in and sewn it all back up again.

Probably not the most painful, but i bet a few of you are right now

To be fair, we heard a lady scream the most blood curdling scream ever in a maternal unit. The fact that she was on another floor only made it worse. Apparently her pelvis broke.

Christ almighty... I really shouldnt read this thread, its starting to disturb me.

Was she giving birth to a HUMAN baby?

Not sure, will get all the gory details down the pub next week, with Photo's apparently, apparently the disc is to stop everything from frying his brain so it could have been, they kept checking him with a geiger counter every so often as well

Specially when he couldnt see them coming with the ticking machine, freaked him out for a while i can tell you
