Quick question.
After driving the car for few hours I was parking my car and I couldn't get 1st gear.
I was trying to push the car for a few yrads to get it in perfect position in the car park and in trying to put it back into first it wouldn't engage.
After fiddling for a bit, I finally tried reverse and it went back into first after that.
My question is: Is the gearbox or clutch on the way out or is this a quirk sometimes with the gearbox.

try sliding it into 2nd before first too. and (this works for engaging reverse too) if it almost goes in but not quite then release the clutch slightly while still pushing the gearstick gently and it should pop in (as it goes in depress the clutch again, dont build the revs to avoid stalling the engine cos you might end up grinding the gears). works for me anyway (or is my gearbox buggered?
