we were travelling back from london today, on the train from marlybone to banbury.. and watched the most amazing sunset.. probably one of the best one's I've ever seen...

just wondering if anyone in that kind of area gots any pics, as once again, I was caught in one of those "damn, wish I'd brought the camera" moments!

[soapbox] Is the rubbish, plastic seated, always late, loud, bright, smelly excuse for public transport still doing that route, or has it been bought out by someone who knows how to build and run trains? I did Marlybone / Banbury on and off for almost 10 years, starting when I was 27 and ending when I was 96 [/soapbox]

breath... deep... in.... out.....

That's better.

Am based just outside Slough for work and got called into boss' office with HR in there as well. Thought "B***gger what have I done now?" but instead they both asked if I'd got the camera with me. Unfortunately it was sitting at home so we just got coffee and chewed the fat for 15 mins watching the sunset.

Just proves sometimes my boss is a decent bloke.

Needless to say camera bag is under my desk with me now just in case of a repeat performance!

Me too. Just down from the Horlicks factory there's a fine old house (that used to be offices) slap bang in the middle of a housing estate! Weird place!!!

Not that company Am just down the road in a lovely industrial estate in the middle of nowhere surrounded by chavs - it's a godforsaken wasteland.

Looked fantastic from Basingstoke.
Best view was opposite the sunset as the windows of all the buildings were red and afull moon was directly above them.
My camera was 50 miles out of reach though!

Was an amzing sunset and I was evening calling other photographers at work to get them to look out the window!.
